EPIC Youth Group

Meet our 2015 Summer Interns

IMG_8344Bailey Hall and Kyle Johnson will be joining us this summer as interns working with the teenEPIC Youth Group and Lafayette in general.

Bailey is a recent graduate of Harding University where she received a bachelor degree in Pre-Occupational Therapy. Her family is now from Searcy, Arkansas but she grew up in Columbia, Tennessee.  She is a big reader, loves to sing, and is also a certified Zumba instructor!  Bailey is making a semi-permanent move to St. Louis this summer as she plans to attend Wash U. in the fall to pursue her doctorate in Occupational Therapy.  We are hoping to have Bailey around for a while as she continues her studies.  In addition to general youth ministry duties like organizing events and leading youth group, she will be teaching Sunday morning Middle School this summer.  Herb and Kathy Crown have graciously agreed to host Bailey this summer.  (bailey@teenepic.org)

Kyle will be a senior Bible & Preaching major this fall at Harding University where he will also serve as Student Association President.  He is recently from Tampa, Florida but is technically homeless as his parents have sold their home are touring the states in an RV serving various churches along the way before they move to Costa Rica in two years for full-time mission work.  He has served as youth intern the last two summers at the Old Hickory Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee.  In addition to his youth ministry duties which will include teaching High School on Sundays, Kyle will be working with Bob in preaching and pastoral care.  Kyle will be enjoying the company of the Kevin and Cindy Fields family this summer.  (kyle@teenepic.org)

Thank you for being the kind of youth group that welcomes our interns with open arms.  Let me encourage you to take some time to get to know these two.  We are blessed to have them and I know you will be enriched by their company.  They are going to love being with you!  Have your parents invite them over for dinner or take them out to eat on Sunday after class.  Get ready for an awesome summer!
