Welcome Kelsey Taylor
Kelsey Taylor will be our 2012 Summer Intern. She will be joining the youth ministry staff in early May (we might actually see a little bit of Kelsey before May if her schedule allows). Kelsey is a sophomore at Harding University and has been a familiar face at Camp Neotez and St. Louis areawide events for many years. Many of our teenEPIC teens already know Kelsey and the rest of you will quickly learn to love her quick wit and her practical, down-to-earth personality. Kelsey will be working directly with the youth group, planning events, hosting Bible Studies and helping manage all the great things that go on during a teenEPIC summer! Make sure your “friend” Kelsey on facebook by clicking here.
Here is a little more about Kelsey in her own words:
Across every area of my life, people and relationships take precedence. I enjoy learning and school, and music is definitely a passion (hence my major in it), but people have always been a focus in my life. This focus led me to pursue a degree in psychology, and after my time at Harding University, I intend to pursue further degrees in psychology that will allow me to specialize in adolescents. Growing up with my father as a preacher, I have seen the importance of letting God be in every part of life and have developed my own faith. Baptized at 15, I quickly became a leader in my youth group. In my time working at Camp Ne-o-tez and through life experiences, I have discovered that I love working with teenagers and doing any service for God, and I am so excited at the idea of spending a summer working with teenEPIC youth group.
Dane Roper will be our Student Intern this summer. As you all know, Dane will be graduating this Spring and heading to Harding this fall. As Student Intern, Dane’s main role will be working with Middle School and helping Mike and Kelsey organize all the great things going on during the summer. I am looking forward to being your servant this summer! I’m excited to see how God will work in all of us and hope that I can contribute, no matter how minutely, to the EPIC story that God is writing for your life!
